Apohem
2024
Accessibillity

Scope
In 2025, new accessibility laws will come into effect, and at Apohem, I was tasked with conducting a comprehensive accessibility review of the entire website. My responsibilities included delivering a detailed timeline with concrete actions to ensure compliance with these upcoming regulations.
Goals
The project's goal was to establish a digital platform for these literary signs, thereby offering users seamless navigation to them, while also providing users with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Swedish literature. The ambition for the app was to be characterized by user-friendliness and clarity, while also being visually appealing to users.

Process
-
We initiated the project by carefully mapping out the parts and features that would be included in the app. Additionally, we conducted a survey of other apps to gather inspiration and understand best practices in the field.
-
In this phase, we began by sketching a basic layout in grayscale using Figma. This approach allowed us to quickly and efficiently create an overview of the app's different parts and structure
-
Considering that our app was intended for outdoor use, we chose colors and design elements that reflected this environment.
-
Building upon our wireframes and branding, we proceeded to create detailed and clickable prototypes in Figma. These prototypes enabled us to visualize and interactively explore user flows, ensuring that the design and functionality of the app remained consistent and user-friendly throughout the interface.
-
The clickable prototype was tested for the first time by users, and insights were gathered from both guerrilla testing and interviews. This feedback was crucial for identifying user needs and further improving the app's user experience.
-
We implemented changes based on the results from user testing to enhance the app's user experience and ensure that it meets users' needs and expectations to the best possible extent.
Lessons learned
